Another national election forecaster, Politico, has joined several other forecasters in upgrading state senator Billie Sutton’s odds of winning the South Dakota governor’s race. As Sutton’s momentum continues to grow, yet another national election analyst has upgraded South Dakota’s gubernatorial election rating to Toss Up.
Daniel Strauss of Politico wrote:
“South Dakota, where Sutton’s internal polling has shown him with narrow single-digit leads, according to a Democrat with knowledge of the surveys, may be the most troubling race for Republicans.”
Other national election analysts that have already upgraded the race include The Cook Political Report, Inside Elections, Roll Call, Daily Kos, Sabato’s Crystal Ball. Locally, The Argus Leader reported the race as a tie.
