BURKE, SD – Senator Billie Sutton, candidate for South Dakota Governor, today released early polling results showing a very tight race for governor. The sample of South Dakota likely voters, which leans heavily Republican, shows Sutton within the margin of error in the race against Congresswoman Noem, trailing by just 4 percentage points (42% Sutton / 46% Noem / 13% undecided).
When balanced profile information about both candidates is presented, Sutton takes a 6 point lead (48% Sutton / 42% Noem / 11% undecided).
