SIOUX FALLS - Senator Billie Sutton, candidate for South Dakota Governor, will host a rally today to kick off early voting season for the November 6 general election.
At the rally, which begins at noon Friday, September 21 at 421 N. Phillips Ave in downtown Sioux Falls, Sutton will talk with voters about the stakes in this election and their opportunity to early vote anytime between today and election day.
“Folks have been telling us they can’t wait to vote in this election, and now they can starting today,” said Sutton. “I’ve heard from voter after voter who are tired of politics as usual and are ready to clean up state government -- this is their chance to make their voices heard.”
Registered voters in South Dakota can early vote during business hours at the auditor’s office in their county of residence through November 5. Those who are not registered may simultaneously register and early vote between September 21 and October 22, the deadline for registering to vote in this year’s general election.
South Dakotans can verify their voter registration information and view their sample ballot at the Secretary of State’s website. Voters who wish to vote absentee, may request a ballot from their county auditor by submitting an absentee ballot application.
Billie Sutton is a rancher, financial professional at a small community bank, State Senator, former professional rodeo cowboy, fifth-generation South Dakotan, and candidate for Governor.
