Press Release - Sutton Debuts “West River,” First TV Ad of the General Election

SIOUX FALLS - Senator Billie Sutton’s campaign for South Dakota Governor today debuted the first TV ad of the general election. The ad, titled “West River,” tells the story of the South Dakota values Sutton was raised with growing up on the family ranch near Burke.

In the 60-second ad, Sutton describes how his career-ending rodeo accident led him to a life of serving others, giving back to those who supported him. Sutton’s first televised message to South Dakota voters also highlights how he has picked himself up after the accident, helping people save for retirement in his day job in finance and serving his neighbors in the state Senate.

“I’ll always be a rodeo man. But today my family, community, and South Dakota come first,” Sutton affirms.

Billie Sutton is a rancher, financial professional at a small community bank, State Senator, former professional rodeo cowboy, fifth-generation South Dakotan, and candidate for Governor.
